Security & safekeeping.

The difference between an exchange balance and a custodial claim is architecture. This page is the architecture.

The safekeeping stack: Changer.ae is the sole custodian of private keys; your accepted assets are held segregated from company assets, pooled with other clients' assets into omnibus wallets (segregated from ours), reconciled every day, held within the ADGM under FSRA COBS Chapter 15 Client Assets & Safe Custody rules, with near-real-time statements and no interest paid on holdings.

01 · Key control

Changer.ae is the sole custodian of the private keys. Received assets are stored under our exclusive key control — clients bank on process, not on personal key hygiene.

02 · Segregation & pooling

Client assets remain segregated from Changer.ae's assets, and are pooled with other clients' assets in omnibus wallets — typical, regulated practice, restructured to keep claims per-client.

03 · Daily reconciliation

We reconcile your holdings daily, with near-real-time statements viewable on login — a COBS obligation, not a courtesy.

04 · Regulated jurisdiction

Client assets are held inside the ADGM. If they were ever to move outside the ADGM, clients would first receive email disclosure — including the differing insolvency and market-practice regimes there. Safe Custody is provided under COBS Chapter 15.

05 · Traffic control

Withdrawals only ever route to bank accounts or external wallets verified under your account; platform-deposited funds are priced only after confirmation; suspicious activity can freeze flows — that's a feature of being regulated.

Plain-words guide: what applies to your assets

Because “what protects me legally” deserves better than a PDF:

  • Protection — your assets in Changer.ae custody are subject to the protections of the FSRA Safe Custody Rules, COBS Chapter 15.
  • Interest — none. We don't pay interest, and we don't earn interest on your holdings either.
  • Jurisdiction — stablecoin/custody regime inside ADGM unless pre-disclosed otherwise.
  • Pooling vs yours — omnibus wallets mean your coins aren't individually crated, but they are never commingled with company funds and are reconciled against client-level claims.
  • Client default — on a client-default event, access to the custody service may be suspended immediately while obligations are reviewed.
  • Private-key theft/loss risk — no system abolishes it; that residual risk is exactly why insured, regulated custody exists.
