A worked example — custody fee on a $25,000 BTC wallet
Suppose your BTC wallet averages $25,000 across the month:

That $10.42 buys something cheap exchanges cannot offer: daily reconciliation, segregated client assets under FSRA rules, and a regulated address to sue. A tiered or waived rate may apply by contract — client classification and asset thresholds matter.
With multiple wallets, each wallet is billed independently and appears as its own line item on the monthly statement — emailed on every payment date and always visible on your account page.

Questions before you fund
How is the 0.5% custody fee calculated exactly?
The custody fee is an annualized rate of 0.5% applied to the average USD value of assets held in each wallet over the billing month. The wallet balance in coins is read at the beginning of every hour, converted to USD at the market price at that moment, and the hourly valuations are averaged across the month. The fee is multiplied by that average and charged on the month's payment date.
When is the custody fee charged?
On the payment date of each billing month via autopay from your selected payment method. If you close a wallet before the payment date, its custody fee for that month is charged at closure; the same applies if your agreement terminates mid-month.
Do I pay fees when I deposit?
No. Changer.ae does not currently charge deposit fees for virtual assets, stablecoins or fiat.
Are there any fees for holding fiat currencies?
There are no platform custody fees and no minimum balances for fiat currencies. If a third-party bank charges Changer.ae for a fiat deposit or withdrawal, that cost is passed through at exactly the charged amount — Changer.ae applies no uplift.
What is the arranging or dealing fee?
Both the Arranging Service and the Dealing Service charge 2% of the USD/AED value of the transaction entered into with the Approved Liquidity Provider, as published in the fee schedule.
Can fees change?
Yes. The company may waive, reduce or adjust custody fees based on internal policies, asset thresholds or client classification. Any changes are published on this page and reflected in your statement.
